PCC or Precipitated Calcium Carbonate also acknowledged as refined, purified, or artificial calcium carbonate. This chemical has the similar formula as other forms of calcium carbonate, like marble, chalk and limestone: CaCO3. The calcium, oxygen and carbon atoms can position themselves in three dissimilar ways, to make three dissimilar calcium carbonate minerals. The greatest common preparation for both ground and precipitated calcium carbonates is the hexagonal type known as calcite.
